What is Closet Moll?

Closet Moll is an online marketplace to buy and sell preloved clothing.

How do I set up a profile?

Go to the Settings tab in your Dashboard to set up a profile. You can upload a profile photo, a closet banner and a bio.

How do I add a product?

Once you connect a Stripe account to accept payments you can add a product through ‘Add Product’ in the top menu.

What commission does Closet Moll take?

Closet Moll takes 15% from sales which includes card fees and VAT. You keep 85% of the sale.

What payment method do you accept?

You can pay with a debit or credit card. Payments are made through Stripe.

Selling

Why do I have to connect a Stripe Account to sell a product?

Payments are made through Stripe. You need to connect a Stripe Account so you can receive payments from any sales.

How do I connect a Stripe Account?

In the settings tab on your dashboard there is a button to set up a Stripe Account. Setting up an account is easy and will only take a few minutes.

I will be going away and won’t be able to complete sales, what should I do?

You can ‘Pause Sales’ in the settings tab on your dashboard. This will hide all of your products from the site until you are back and ready to complete orders. You can uncheck the ‘Pause Sales’ button to make all of your products visible again.

I sold a product! Now what?

Congratulations! Now you need to check what shipping method the buyer selected and get the package ready. You can see more about shipping methods here.

Where do I see details of my sales?

You can see all your sales in the Sales tab in your dashboard. Here you can view all of the details and update the status of your sales.

How do I arrange a local collection?

When sellers add a product for local collection, they provide a contact number or email for the buyer to reach them. The buyer can use this information to contact the seller and arrange the collection once payment is made.

How do I edit or delete a product?

Go to the "Products" tab on your Dashboard and look for the product you want to change. You'll see options to edit or delete the product on the image.

Can I cancel an order?

As a seller - yes, you can cancel the order by issuing a refund on Stripe > Payments. As a buyer - no you cannot cancel an order once you have completed checkout.

Why is my Stripe payment delayed?

On your first transaction Stripe will hold the payment for 7 business days. This period of time is necessary to mitigate risks for both you and Stripe. After that period it will be deposited into your bank account. Once your first payment has been deposited any future payments will take 3 business days to process before being deposited into your bank account.

Buying

Where do I see details of my purchases?

You can see all your sales in the Purchases tab in your dashboard. Here you can view all of the details and check the status of your purchases.

What happens if I don’t receive my item?

You will be entitled to a refund if you don’t receive your item. If the seller refuses to issue the refund you can request a chargeback through your card issuer. While Closet Moll can’t issue refunds directly, we will assist with your case.

Can I cancel an order?

As a buyer - no you cannot cancel an order once you have completed checkout. As a seller - yes, you can cancel the order by issuing a refund on Stripe > Payments.

Can I get a refund?

To ensure transparency, please note that all sales made through Closet Moll are final and solely between the buyer and seller. As a platform, we do not offer refunds for any products. However, if you did not receive an item or if it was not as described, you can contact the seller directly to request a refund. Additionally, you can request a chargeback through your card issuer if necessary.

Someone left me a bad review, what can I do about it?

If someone leaves you a bad review, you can attempt to resolve the issue with the user directly. If the review violates the marketplace's policies, you can report it to the customer support team for review.

Can I sell new clothing or is it only preloved?

Yes, you can also sell clothing that is new with tags or new without tags.

Can I sell damaged clothing?

Yes, just be transparent in the description and provide photos of the damage. It's important to keep clothing in a circular economy, and someone may still find use for the material or be able to mend it.
